I am home, sick with a fever, and, in a strange way, enjoying the peaceful quiet of my house. (Husband and kiddos are all at school - one teaching, two learning.)

I missed a chance to watch Episode 2.1 for vm_rewatch last week, and decided to watch it today, so I can be on schedule to watch 2.2 tomorrow.

Anyway...this is not my most favorite episode, and I don't think I've watched it all the way through in a long time.

I'm curious about the scene in which Logan is leaning against the doomed school bus, and he snarks at Duncan - (Duncan actually has a good line here about the sharks rumbling with the jets) - and then Logan says, to Veronica, "Hey. I'm gonna miss you." (I even put the captions on to make sure - that is exactly what Logan says.) I think every other time I've watched it, I thought Logan said, "Hey, you know I miss you." But, if the captions are right, that ISN'T what he says. It's "I'm GONNA miss you."

Were the writers trying to lead us to believe that Logan knew something about the bus crash? What is the point of this line?

Also, in previous watchings, I have been annoyed that Duncan doesn't seem very upset about the fact that he thinks Veronica is on the bus, BUT, in rewatching, he sees her jump off the back of Weevil's bike just as he is running up to the cliff, and he does clutch her to him. I think I was so annoyed that she was back with Logan that I didn't want to give Teddy Dunn any credit, but in rewatching, he does seem more relieved than I have noticed before.

The bad news is that my laptop died, taking with it the next chapter of Post Partum and approximately 1000 words of my "Tucson Too Soon" Mac/Weevil road trip fic. (And a whole bunch of other stuff, like two years worth of photographs and tax returns and budget spreadsheets...argh.)

The good news is that some computer geeks I hired think they will have the laptop AND my data back by Thursday. I am hopeful.

Solely because I know that Rob Thomas wrote some of the episodes, I borrowed Season 1 of "Dawson's Creek" from the public library. I am liking it but I am not entralled. Does it get better? Also, I can tell I am totally a mom, because when Ms. Jacobs slept with Pacey I was all horrified and thinking, "THAT BOY IS ONLY SIX YEARS OLDER THAN MY SON!!!" and "I WOULD KILL THAT CRAZY BE-YOTCH IF SHE SLEPT WITH MY KID!" AND "WHAT THE HELL IS SHE THINKING???"

Um...so, evidently I am not really much of a hopeless romantic when it comes to the Ms. Jacobs/Pacey love story...

What I AM enthralled with is the HBO Series "True Blood". But I loved the books the series was based on, so I'm not surprised I love the show.

I find fanfiction.net kind of frustrating (maybe I just haven't spent enough time on the site to figure out how to separate the good stuff), but I stumbled on this story, and I'm really enjoying it.

As for me, the good news is that I seem to be recovering from the allergic reaction, and I won't (knock on wood) have to be admitted to the hospital for i.v. steroids (knock on wood again) - because that would suck. And my hands are no longer swollen and I can type! Hurray!

Does anyone recall a fic where Logan is sent to live in a foster home after his father is arrested?

I cannot even remembered if I even LIKED the fic all that much, I just was remembering it and thinking I wanted to re-read it, and now I cannot find it...
